ArcelorMittal Costa Rica S.A. is a steel company located in San Jose. It was incorporated over 10 years ago and has chosen Costa Rica as its production center to supply the main markets in the region, including Central America and the Caribbean. ArcelorMittal Costa Rica operates a steel production plant where hot rolling is carried out. Ingots or billets are heated in the furnace for hot deformation through rolling mills. The material is then transformed into finished products for commercialization. The plant is located in Pococí, Limón, 3 km west of the Anita Grande de Jiménez railway crossing. ArcelorMittal Costa Rica is the only national producer of construction rods.
