AGROFERT, a.s. is a Czech-based company which is the base entity of the international AGROFERT group. With more than 250 companies the holding operates mainly in the chemical and agricultural industries, but also in the forestry, land engineering, transport and technology, renewable energy and media. The history of the company begins in 1993 where it was established by Ing. Andrej Babis as a company dealing with pesticides and fertilizers. It later has become one of the biggest employers in the Czech Republic and a key player on the domestic and Central European market.
