Asociacion de Bancos del Ecuador - ABPE (Ecuador)

The Asociacion de Bancos del Ecuador - ABPE is located in Quito. It was established with the aim of improving the quality of life for Ecuadorians by strengthening the banking system within a framework that promotes best practices and international standards. The association promotes a regulatory system that supports the development of financial activities. It also fosters relationships between its members and similar associations in Ecuador and abroad. The ABPE works to maintain public trust in the financial system, increase knowledge about the nature and contribution of banking activities, and protect the interests of banking customers. The association collaborates with state regulators, public authorities, business and citizen associations, and international institutions. It advocates for policies, laws, programs, projects, measures, and actions that promote the solidity, transparency, modernization, and social responsibility of banking institutions. Additionally, the ABPE provides its members with advisory services, technical assistance, training, and conciliation.
