Seguros Colón S.A. is an insurance company located in Guayaquil, Ecuador. It was incorporated in 1992 with the aim of bridging the gap between the private sector and the public sector by providing surety bonds that enable the completion of essential projects and works for the country's growth. Currently, Seguros Colón is one of the most secure, liquid, and technically proficient insurance companies in the country. It is regulated and supervised by the Superintendence of Companies, Securities, and Insurance of Ecuador. The company is also a member of the Pan-American Surety Association (APF-PASA), an organization that brings together the most important surety and reinsurance companies in the world, and is part of its Executive Committee. In 2018, Seguros Colón expanded its operations to include other property and personal insurance lines, in addition to surety bonds, in order to continue guiding its customers in all their interests and provide quality service in these new areas.
