Danec S.A. was created in 1971 in Ecuador and it was primarily engaged in the sectors of fats, vegetable oils and soaps, in order to meet the needs of the national market. The company is headquartered in Quito and it has agencies, factories and farms throughout the Republic of Ecuador. Currently the company is engaged in the production and development of products made from oil seeds, grown in their own farms. The product lines that it manages can be divided into two main categories: industrial products and consumer goods, among which: oil, margarine, food and dressings, cleaning and personal care products. The company carries out operations in Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, England, Spain and the United States. Its most famous brands are El Cocinero, Vivi, Mazorca, Palma de Oro, among others.
