La Estancia Forestal (Forestead) was established in March 2009. It is headquartered in the Guayas province, city of Guayaquil, at Av. 9 de Octubre 100. The company is engaged in the development and the exploitation of the farming sector in all its stages, from cultivation and extraction, until the sale of the final production. The main activity of Forestead is the sowing of teak for its subsequent harvest and sale. In order to grow the teak plants, the corporation has acquired land of a total of 180 hectares in the Balzar canton. In order to expand its plantations, the company is also engaged in the buying of land and its agricultural exploitation and administrative management.
