Plasticaucho Industrial S.A. was established on 29 October 1965 in Ecuador and is headquartered in the city of Ambato. The company is primarily engaged in the industrialisation of rubber and its derivatives, manufacturing, national sale and export of footwear as well as in the purchase and import of raw materials and supplies for shoe making. Plasticaucho Industrial S.A. carries out its production operations in the industrial plant in Ambato and has distribution centres in Ambato, Guayaquil and Quito. The company manufactures and markets under the brand "Venus" the following products: canvas footwear, plastic footwear, leather and sports shoes. About 30% of the production is commercialized abroad, with the main distributors being the related companies Venus Colombiana and Venus Peruana S.A.C. Plasticaucho Industrial S.A. is also the ultimate shareholder of Corpocalza S.A., a company dedicated to the provision of business administration services.
