Corporacion Proauto S.A. (Ecuador)

Corporacion Proauto S.A. is a vehicle dealership located in Quito, Ecuador. Founded over 20 years ago, it initially started as a vehicle repair workshop and used vehicle sales. Later on, it obtained the representation of Colmotores to sell heavy vehicles weighing over 4 tons and Tractomulas in Ecuador. In 1992, General Motors granted Proauto the distribution of all types of light vehicles manufactured by GM. At that time, the company was selling around 26 units per month. Currently, Proauto is the dealership with the largest market share of Chevrolet vehicles in Ecuador, accounting for approximately 30% (AEADE, 2013). The company has over 200 employees and operates five branches, four in Quito and one in Cayambe. Proauto primarily focuses on the market niche of light vehicles and trucks. Many of the vehicles are produced at the Omnibus BB plant, while special editions are imported directly from countries such as Korea and Venezuela.
