Tecnova S.A. was established in 1962 in Guayaquil under the legal denomination Electro Diesel Guayaquil S.A. In 2006 it changed its name as a result of the merger with the company Electro Diesel Quito S.A. and since then it is known as Tecnova S.A. The company, which belongs to the Berlin Group, was established as the local representative of the German corporation Robert Bosch GmbH in order to offer the Bosch products of the automotive line. Currently it has more than 2000 spare parts warehouses, service stations, large stores and technical workshops, through which it handles the import, distribution and technical service of the Aftermarket and Thermotechnology divisions of Robert Bosch Gmbh. It is also engaged in the manufacturing and sale of batteries with the Bosch brand license.
