Cairo Poultry was established in 1977 by the Kharafy Group of Kuwaiti foods / Americana fame.The Company`s operations are divided into four main divisions: poultry processing (operating slaughterhouses and produces frozen food products), broilers (involving hatchery production of one-day old broilers, which are sold to the market or delivered to the company`s slaughterhouses), feed production and trading (producing chicken feed made of yellow corn, soya meal and premix concentrates), and starch and glucose (manufacturing starch and glucose as main products, and corn oil and animal feed as byproducts). The Company caters to the Kuwait-based Americana's fast-food chains (Kentucky Fried Chicken, Hardees, and Pizza Hut) and exports to the Arabic Gulf Market.
