Comision Nacional de Energia Electrica (CNEE) was established in November 1996 as a technical body of the Ministry of Energy and Mines, with functional independence for the exercise of their functions. And it creates the conditions attached to the law so that the activities of generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity are developed by individual or legal person wishing to do so.
