China Overseas Grand Oceans Group Limited, formerly known as Shell Electric Industrial (Group) Limited, was established in 1955 and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1984. In March 2010, China Overseas Development Limited (00688.HK) completed the acquisition of Shell Electric Industrial (Group) Limited and officially renamed it China Overseas Grand Oceans Group Limited (00081.HK). China Overseas Development Limited, registered in Hong Kong in 1979, is the flagship enterprise of China Overseas Group Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited, the largest comprehensive construction and real estate enterprise group in China. In August 1992, China Overseas Development was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, becoming the first Chinese company to directly list its local business assets in Hong Kong. China Overseas Development has a national first-class real estate development qualification and was included in the Hang Seng Index in December 2007. Its "China Overseas Property" brand has become a leading brand in the Chinese real estate industry. In 2022, the group successfully acquired ten pieces of land in Hefei, Yinchuan, Nanning, Lanzhou, Shantou, Nantong, Zibo, and Ganzhou, with a total development area of 2,212,500 square meters. In January 2022, the group acquired additional equity in land development projects in Jinhua and Xuzhou, with a total floor area of approximately 1,937,300 square meters. As of December 31, 2022, the group's affiliated companies in mainland China have a total land reserve of 24,532,600 square meters of floor area, of which 2,022,800 square meters are held by joint ventures and cooperative companies. The total floor area of land reserves held by the group, including joint ventures and cooperative companies, is 20,754,100 square meters. As of December 31, 2022, the group's affiliated companies hold land reserves in 40 cities.
