China Water Industry Group Limited, also known as the Group, is a well-known investment and biomass gas operator in the environmental protection industry in China. The company was listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2002. Since its establishment, the Group has adhered to the business philosophy of "government trust, citizen satisfaction, shareholder recognition, and employee happiness". It has developed from the traditional water industry sector to become a comprehensive and industrialized group company spanning three major areas: water industry, environmental new energy, and urban-rural integration. The company's business is distributed in various cities in Guangdong, Hunan, Jiangxi, Chengdu, Guangxi, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and other domestic and international locations. In 2013, the Group established New China Water (Nanjing) Renewable Resources Investment Co., Ltd., which is mainly engaged in biogas power generation/purification, landfill operation and engineering support services, and the utilization of biomass waste resources (comprehensive treatment and utilization of urban and rural organic waste, deep treatment of high-concentration organic wastewater). In the field of biogas resource utilization, the company collects the biogas generated by landfills through full coverage collection, and then enters the power generation unit through a series of pretreatment processes to achieve biogas power generation or purification. This effectively reduces the pollution problems of landfills and greatly reduces the potential risks of landfill operation. Currently, New China Water's solid waste resource utilization projects have reached more than 50 (including overseas projects), with a total installed capacity of 158MW, leading the industry. As of now, New China Water has achieved a cumulative carbon emission reduction of over 20 million tons, and it is expected to achieve an annual emission reduction of 4.5 million tons in the future. The company will continue to deepen its carbon neutrality projects and strive to implement the national carbon neutrality policy. In the field of biomass waste resource utilization, New China Water provides core technologies, products, and operation services for the disposal of urban and rural organic waste and high-concentration organic wastewater. It constructs a smart energy-environment center, with organic waste treatment (including straw, livestock and poultry manure, vegetable and fruit waste, and dead animals) as the core, and connects biogas and organic fertilizer to achieve integrated farming, regional circulation, and ecological development.
