The Auchan Group is presented on the Hungarian market since 1996 with its subsidiary Auchan Magyarország Kereskedelmi És Szolgáltató Kft. It operates a chain of hypermarkets and with an average annual investment of 35 billion HUF is the second largest French investor in Hungary. The first Auchan store was built in Budapest and then from 2002 Auchan Kft. began to build a national chain of stores.
