It has been established in 1985 under the name of ÁVB Rt. – it was founded by 44 shareholders with an initial capital of 2.2 billion HUF. In 1992 the company majority shareholding was acquired from the German group - Westdeutsche Landesbank AG. Between January and May 2010 the Bank was operated as Milton Bank Zrt., owned by Wallis Zrt. In May 2010 following the transaction between Wallis Zrt. and Magyar Tőketársaság Zrt., the company start to to operate under the name of Gránit Bank Zrt.
Gránit Bank Zrt. offers a wide range banking services in forints and foreign currencies, while its aim is to be a strategic partner from large corporations to a small and medium-sized enterprises.
