Harkány lies in the south of County Baranya, in the valley of the River Dráva, embraced by the Hills Tenkes and Szársomlyó. Our route runs through this varied scenery, where, amid wheat fields and pristine lakes, green forests and vineyards, the town of medicinal waters is hidden. In old times, the Garai and the Batthyányi families were lords of this land, leaving deservedly famous historic memories for posterity after themselves.

The medicinal water at Harkány is a gift of nature. The medicinal and swimming baths at harkány – unique and fittingly renowned in Europe – have now a history of two centuries. Families, those who wish to be refreshed or healed are equally heartily welcome at Harkány – the water composition is alkaline,contains hydrocarbonate and sulphur, the premises are located in a 13.5-hectare natural park, the water surface area is almost 8000 m², the covered rest area is about 5000 m².
