Zsolnay Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt., commonly known as Zsolnay is a Hungarian manufacturer of porcelain with more than 160 years history. The company is headquartered in the city of Pécs in Baranya County, its a family company and it has been incorporated in 1853 from Zsolnay Miklos. The Zsolnay family's former home today is a museum. The company’s main activities are manufacturing of porcelain, tiles, and stoneware. Zsolnay has a worldwide recognition by demonstrating its innovative products at world fairs and international exhibitions, including the 1873 World Fair in Vienna, then at the 1878 World Fair in Paris, where Zsolnay received a Grand Prix. In 1893, Zsolnay introduced porcelain pieces made of eosin, in 1886 an ornamental ceramics tiles from pyrogranite. Zsolnay ceramics won several awards around the world.
