PT. Sorini Corporation Tbk. (SOBI) operates in producing and supplying starch and starch derivatives products such as sorbitol, dextrose monohydrate, glucose syrup and maltodextrin to various consumer goods industries. In 1994 SOBI established PT. Sorini Towa Berlian Corporation, a joint venture with Towa Chemical Industry Co. Ltd. Japan and Mitsubishi Corporation Japan to produce sorbitol liquid and powder. SOBI became the first Company to produce Sorbitol Powder in Indonesia. The company was founded in 1983 and based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
