PT Tifico Fiber Indonesia Tbk is a polyester fiber producer based in Tangerang, Indonesia. The company was established on October 25, 1975, and became a commercial company in July 1976. It started building its first plant and was officially opened by the President of Indonesia, Mr. Suharto, on October 29, 1977. Since February 1980, the company has been listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. In April 2010, a consortium of four companies purchased shares of Teijin Limited, making them the major shareholder. The company exports its products and has a production capacity of approximately 200,000 tons per year. Its polyester chip products are used as raw materials for manufacturing polyester staple fiber, polyester filament yarn, tire cord, polyester film, and other products.
