Investment & Precision Castings Ltd. (IPCL) is a pioneer in the Investment Casting business in India. It was incorporated in April 1975 and operates under technical collaboration with arwood International, USA. In 1983, IPCL signed a Technical Collaboration Agreement with M/s. Furstlich Hohenzollernsche Huttenverwaltung, (Zollern Group), Germany, and in 1987, it signed a Technical license Agreement with M/s. Associated Foundries Engineering Co. Ltd., Japan. IPCL caters to various industries including Automobile, Power Generation, Valves & Pumps, Electrical & Electronics, Dairy & Food Processing, Earthmoving Machinery, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration, Printing, Textile Machinery, Compressors, Cutting Tools, Machine Tools, Locomotives, Hand Tools, Sewing Machines, Atomic Energy, Defence, Aerospace & Space Shuttle, and Medical Implants. The company specializes in manufacturing Investment Castings using Lost-Wax and other processes. These castings are made from Ferrous, Non-Ferrous, Nickel base, and Cobalt base alloys, with a piece weight of up to 200 Kg, the highest in India. IPCL also supplies fully machined, treated, and ready-for-use components. IPCL has obtained various certifications over the years, including ISO 9002 certification from Bureau of Indian Standards in 1994, ISO/TS 16949:2002 certification from RWTUV, Germany in 2004, OHSAS 18001:2007 & EMS ISO 14001:2004 in 2009, and EN 9100:2009 Quality Certificate from TUV NORD CERT GmbH, Germany in 2014. In addition, IPCL has received awards and recognition for its outstanding performance and leadership in the Investment Casting Process. Notably, it received the "CASTING CONTEST AWARD-2014" from INVESTMENT CASTINGS INSTITUTE, USA, making it the first company in India to receive this award.
