Iraqi Islamic Bank for Investment and Development (IIB) is an Iraqi Islamic credit institution, operating under the principle of Sharia law, which bans interest-based services and transactions. It was launched in 1992 with headquarters in Baghdad and claims to be the first private Islamic bank in Iraq. Its services are designated to both individual and corporate customers. The bank is active in providing funding for the development of various economic sectors. Its Sharia-compliant products include retail, corporate, investment and international banking.
