Ta'Min Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company Public Joint Stock, located in Tehran, was first established as Abadan Oil Refinery (Ltd) on December 25, 2002. The company's name and central office were later changed to Ta'Min Cellulose and Chemical Investment Company (Limited Liability Company) in October 2003. In January 2005, the company's name was changed again to Ta'Min Chemical and Petrochemical Investment Company, and its type was changed from Private Stock to Public Joint Company. On October 30, 2011, the company's name was changed to Ta'Min Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Co. (TAPPICO) following a merger with Tamin chemical and petrochemical investment holding. The company's shares are offered in the Tehran Stock Exchange since July 9, 2013.
