Jordan Investment Trust PLC, also known as Jordinvest, is a Jordan-based public shareholding company incorporated in year 1988. It offers investment banking services in the domestic, regional and international markets. The Company's activities are divided into four segments: Capital Markets and Asset Management, which offers portfolio management services, invests in company equities, and manages the First Jordan Investment Fund and the Jordinvest Pan-Arab Equity Fund; Corporate Finance, which provides corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and other related services; Research and Analysis, which offers regional macro-economic, capital markets, special sector studies, equity and weekly regional market commentaries research, and Brokerage and Trading, which offers securities brokerage services. Jordinvest operates through its subsidiaries, including Aqar Co Ltd, Financial Investment Trust Sham Co, Mazeya for International investment Co, and Real Estate Investment Trust Co, among others.
The company had been founded with a paid-up capital of JD 15.4 million (US $21.7 million). In 2005, the capital was increased to JD17million (US $23.9million), then to JD29.5million (US$41.5million) in 2006.
