Middle East Insurance Company (MEICO) is a Jordan-based public shareholding company that was established in 1962 in Amman and provides all classes of life and non-life insurance products and services. The Company's insurance products is structured into seven divisions namely life and health, motor, property, general accident, engineering, marine, and aviation. The life and health division covers medical and personal insurance for individual and group; motor insurance includes third party liability, own damage and owner and driver personal accident; property insurance covers buildings and contents; general accident insurance covers legal liability towards others; engineering covers the risks that arise from contracting and engineering business; marine insurance covers cargo, hull and machinery, and aviation covers full range of aviation risk insurance. MEICO operates eight branches and two agencies across Jordan.
