Cheil Industries Inc. (Seoul) is a company based in Seoul, South Korea. It was incorporated in 1963 and is engaged in providing other amusement and recreation services, as well as offering accommodation and recreational facilities and services. Cheil Industries was originally a Korean textile firm established in 1954. In the 1980s, the company expanded its business areas into fashion, chemicals, and electronic chemical materials (ECM). It became an affiliate of the Samsung Group. In October 2014, Cheil Industries submitted plans for an initial public offering, with around $1.41 billion in shares planned for listing on the South Korea Stock Exchange.
