Kosovo-based Economic Bank was established in 1991 by 18 shareholders, of which some 70% represented local public enterprises. It closed down during the Kosovo conflict and reopened in June 2001. The lender provides general banking services to a diverse customer base that includes large corporations, small and mid-sized businesses and individuals. Economic bank attends over 95,000 clients annually through a branch network of nearly 50 outlets and over 30 ATMs nationwide.
