Air Astana completed in 2002 its first flight Almaty-Astana. Air Astana is one of the airlines in Kazakhstan, which is certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to perform aircraft maintenance to the requirements of Directive 145. In 2011 the airline officially registered IATA (International Air Transport Association) in the register of the airlines that have successfully passed International Operational Safety Audit (IOSA). Air Astana fleet consists of 30 western aircrafts and the route network includes more than 60 domestic and international flights. The highly qualified personnel, which provides more than 4 000 jobs, mainly consists of both local and foreign skilled workers.
