Petroleum Company LLC "HazarMunay" was founded in 1999, the same year the company took part in the tender for exploration and development of North Roadside field. In 2000 the company signed a contract with the Government of the Republic. Production in the order of trial operation started in February 2002 after the re-activation, and repair of two existing wells. In 2006 an additional exploration field was completed, they drilled three wells 4350 meters deep, built power lines, access roads, modern camp, lots for storage, preparation and delivery of raw materials.
