It has been incorporated on 1st of January, 2016, merging of LESTO AB and Lietuvos dujos AB. ESO is controlled by state-owned group of energy companies Lietuvos Energija UAB, one of the largest energy companies in the Baltic States. The company’s main activities are electricity supply and distribution, natural gas distribution, guarantee supply of electricity and natural gas, introduction of electricity and gas, maintenance and development of electricity and gas distribution networks, security and reliability of energy distribution assurance. Through its subsidiaries the company serves 1.6 million customers throughout Lithuania.
