Moldavian Airlines was the first private airline of the Republic of Moldova back in 1994. In 1999, Moldavian Airlines became a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Multilateral Interline Traffic Agreements and Clearing House. Meeting the continuously growing demand on flights between Chisinau and Budapest, in 2003 Moldavian Airlines started operating Saab 2000 a comfortable, accommodating up to 50 passengers, environmentally friendly, economical and state-of-the-art both technically and operationally aircraft. As of December the first Moldavian Airlines Fokker 100 registered as ER-FZA enters scheduled operation. The aircraft is fitted with 105 seats and is capable to cover at full payload up to 2380 km. Moldavian Airlines operated regular flights from Chisinau to Romania, Italy(Rome, Venice) and Turkey. Besides, charter flights are organized to different destinations, such as Antalya, Bucharest, Debrecen and Lisbon. The company ceased operations in 2014.
