The cooking oil factory Blagoj Gjorev from Veles, founded in 1923, produces edible oil, margarines, lokum , jelly, marmalades, sesame, tahan halva and other grain products. It is the only factory in Macedonia with the capacity to refine oil seeds (sunflower, corn, soya) of over 50 000 tons annually. The plant also produces annually about 7000 tons of margarine and other solid fats. Blagoj Gjorev manufactures vinegar from alcohol, wine and apple. The company owns refinery for manufacturing 100 tons of refined oil daily and tanks for storage of 15 000 tons of raw oil.
