Pivara Skopje is a joint stock company founded in 1924. It has a production capacity of 1,100,000 hectoliters (220 million bottles) of beer and 948,000 hectoliters (94.8 million litres) of non-alcoholic beverages annually.
In 1998, Brewinvest, which is owned by the Greek subsidiary of Heineken and Coca-Cola Helenic Bottling Company, acquired a 51% stake in the brewery.
In July 2007, Pivara Skopje was certified with food safety management system standard ISO 22.000.
In May 2008, the company launched a new beer under the Silver Moon brand.
In 2010 the company was listed on the free market of the Macedonian stock exchange.
