Replek AD (North Macedonia)

Replek AD Skopje is a Macedonian holding company, which groups three subsidiaries – Replek, Replek Pharm DOOEL , and Replek & Hubo International DOOEL.
Replek AD was set up in 1945 and operated as a provider of medical supplies. Between 1950 and 1955, the company expanded its distribution to Kosovo and Southern Serbia. Replek AD was fully state-owned until 1991.
In 1994, Replek was transformed into a joint stock company, engaged in wholesale of pharmaceutical, medical equipment and medical consumables.
In 1996, the first affiliate company – Replek, was set up. It operates a retail chain of pharmaceutical stores. By end-1999, the parent company was 100% privately owned.
In 2001, the second affiliate company – Replek Pharm, was launched. It operates a pharmaceutical plant.
In 2003, the third affiliate company – Replek & Hubo International, was established. The subsidiary operates a market under the name of Replek & Hubo, as well as the restaurant Day & Night. Replek & Hubo is a retailer and wholesaler of a variety of household commodities. Day & Night has two shareholders – Replek AD Skopje with 80% and the Belgium-based Hubo International, which holds the other 20% in the restaurant.
Replek AD has established partnership with world-known companies, such as Biochemie, Aventis Pasteur, Nycomed Amersham, Novo Nordisk, and Johnson & Johnson.
