Ulaanbaatar Hotel Joint Stock Company (Mongolia)

Hotel Ulaanbaatar offers five-star accommodation and is located downtown Ulaanbaatar. It is one of the famous and oldest hotel in Mongolia. The hotel was built by a special resolution of the government in 1961. The Tsedenbal-Filatova, the wife of Mongolian communist leader Tsedenbal and de-facto co-ruler of the country, was personally involved in the construction and design. It was the first public building with running hot water. A number of foreign embassies were quartered here during 1980’s and 1990’s. In 1997, the hotel opened its branch hotel, UB-2, in Gorkhi-Terelj Reservation. The “Ulaanbaatar” has been completely renovated in 2006 to meet the requirements of modern business clientele. Julia Roberts, Demis Roussos, Richard Gere, Steven Seagal, Dalai Lama, Fradkov, Andre Kim, Alsou were among the famous guests who stayed at the Hotel.
