The Company invests directly and indirectly in dominant and defensive retail malls located in large and mid-sized cities with strong economic support and growth.
The Company was established with the primary aim of acquiring and investing globally in direct property assets as well as listed real estate and infrastructure securities. In accordance with the Company's business strategy, physical property investments are focused on retail, commercial and real estate assets across Europe. The Company targets properties with sustainable income from high-quality tenants with a strong likelihood of renewal of leases upon expiry. The Company also has strategic listed investments. In addition, it invests in listed real estate and infrastructure securities to provide liquidity for opportunistic acquisitions.
History:
2014 The Company, formerly known as Green Flash Properties Ltd., is incorporated in Mauritius on 14 August 2014 with a category 1 Global Business License.
2015 The Company was listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius on 30 January 2015
2016 The Company changed its name to Greenbay Properties Ltd on 17 March 2016
2017 On 31 May 2017, the Company acquired a 50% interest in LocaViseu. LocaViseu is a company incorporated in Portugal and is the holding company of two wholly-owned subsidiaries that own Forum Coimbra and Forum Viseu, two retail shopping centres in Portugal.
2018 On 2 August 2018, the Company acquired the remaining 50% interest in LocaViseu that it did not yet own, at which date LocaViseu became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company
The Company changed its name to Lighthouse Capital Limited on 12 December 2018.
2021 The Company was delisted from the Stock Exchange of Mauritius on 29 October 2021.
The Company redomicile from Mauritius to Malta on Wednesday, 29 December 2021. Following the registration of the Company in Malta, the Company’s name changed from “Lighthouse Capital Limited” to “Lighthouse Properties plc” from 29 December 2021.
