Financiera Banregio, S.A. de C.V., SOFOM, E.R. is a company located in San Pedro Garza Garcia. It was incorporated in 1994 as Grupo Financiero Banregio. Over the years, the company has expanded its operations and acquired other financial entities. In 1998, it opened its first branch outside of Nuevo León in Saltillo, Coahuila. In 2002, it acquired Arrendadora Financiera del Norte and converted it into AF Banregio. In 2009, the company acquired Masterlease, GE Capital, and Autosummit. In the same year, it conducted its initial public offering for $1,945 MDP under the symbol GFREGIO. In 2013, Financiera Banregio was selected to be part of the IPC. The company has positioned itself as one of the strongest banks in Mexico for small and medium-sized enterprises. In 2018, it underwent a rebranding, changing its traditional wine color to orange. In 2019, the company celebrated its 25th anniversary and launched its Collection of Credit Cards. In 2020, Financiera Banregio was recognized as the bank with the best performance in Latin America by the English publication The Banker.
