Grupo Profuturo S.A.B. de C.V. is a holding company operating mainly in the sectors of insurance, pension fund managers and operators of mutual funds.The history of Grupo Profuturo began in 1997, when Pensiones Profuturo was created as a subsidiary of GNP, but only in 2001 Grupo Profuturo was established as result of division of GNP. Grupo Profuturo currently has four business lines: AFORE (managed by Profuturo GNP Afore), pensions (by Profuturo GNP Pensiones); loans aimed at current customers of Profuturo Pensiones and employees of Grupo Bal´s companies (by Profuturo GNP Prestamos) and a distributor of funds (by Profuturo GNP Fondos).
