Progreso de Vicente Guerrero, S.C. de A.P. de R.L. de C.V. is a Cooperative Society established on July 10, 1960. Its first office was located in the Parish of San Antonio de Padua in the city of Vicente Guerrero. With the help of the Catholic action, the Diocesan Directors took on the task of promoting the cooperative spirit. On April 3, 2005, an assembly was held where the members authorized Progreso de Vicente Guerrero to carry out the merger of Caja Popular Chalchihuites. On June 14, 2013, they received authorization from the National Banking and Securities Commission to operate under the Law to Regulate the Activities of Cooperative Savings and Loan Societies, which reaffirms the trust in Progreso de Vicente Guerrero as a solid institution. Currently, they have 9 branches located in Villa Unión, Súchil, Nombre de Dios, Guadalupe Victoria, Cuencamé, and Vicente Guerrero in the state of Durango, and in Sombrerete, Chalchihuites, and Juan Aldama in the state of Zacatecas.
