Seguros El Potosi S.A. (Mexico)

Seguros El Potosi S.A. is a Mexican insurance company located in San Luis Potosi. It was legally established in January 1946 as "EL POTOSÍ, S.A. COMPAÑÍA MEXICANA DE SEGUROS" and received authorization to operate in the Fire branch in April of the same year. Since then, the company has achieved several milestones. In April 1971, it obtained authorization to issue policies in the Automobile branch, and on April 25, 1946, it issued its first insurance policy. In September 1979, Seguros El Potosi S.A. acquired its own property located at Av. Venustiano Carranza No. 426, Colonia Centro in San Luis Potosi, which currently serves as its corporate offices. The company expanded its operations in April 1984 to include liability, maritime, transportation, and various other branches. In December 1985, it inaugurated an office in Aguascalientes, leading to significant growth and the establishment of more than 20 offices nationwide. In December 1986, Seguros El Potosi S.A. obtained authorization to operate in the life, accidents, and health branches. With over 380 employees distributed across 13 states and more than 20 offices, the company has been recognized as a "Super Company" by Revista Expansión since 2017.
