Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad (BPMB) or Malaysia Development Bank operates as a development financial institution (DFI) owned by the Malaysian Government through the Minister of Finance Inc. BPMB is mandated to provide medium to long term financing to capital intensive industries, which include infrastructure projects, maritime, technology and oil and gas sectors. In addition to the provision of financing to these sectors, BPMB also has strategic investments through its subsidiaries, Global Maritime Ventures Berhad (GMV) and Pembangunan Leasing Corporation Sdn. Bhd (PLC). The bank was founded in 1973 and based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
