Steppe Cement Limited is a Malaysian-incorporated holding company that operates two cement manufacturing companies, Karcement J.S.C. and Central Asia Cement J.S.C., in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. The company's cement manufacturing facility is located in Aktau Village, approximately 40 kilometers north of Karaganda and 180 kilometers south of Nur-Sultan, the capital city of Kazakhstan. The region has a strong industrial base and well-developed public infrastructure that supports major mining and industrial activities. Steppe Cement owns two dry lines, with Line 6 being refurbished in 2008 and Line 5 in 2014, increasing the annual production capacity to 2 million tonnes. Steppe Cement Ltd was listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in London in September 2005, becoming one of the first Malaysian companies to be listed on AIM.
