United Idi-Mardi R.B. Hydropower Ltd. (Nepal)

The Company was established with objectives to study and construct hydropower projects in the country and to supply generated electricity to the national grid.
Ministry of Energy has granted survey license of Upper Mardi Khola Hydropower Project (7 MW) on Mardi Khola, a Tributary of Seti River located at Lwanghalel VDCs of Kaski district through Department of Electricity Development (DOED) as per prevailing laws and regulations to the Company.
The project was identified and being developed by United Idi Mardi and RB Hydropower Pvt. Ltd. The company has already completed the Detail Project Study and Initial Environment Examination (IEE) of the project and signed the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) on Jestha 25, 2073 for an installed capacity of 7 MW. Similarly, the Grid connection agreement of the project was also signed on (Ashad 14, 2072 B.S.) with desire to interconnect this project to Nepal Electricity Authority's (NEA's) grid at Substation in Baskot of Kaski district.
Mardi Khola is one of the tributaries of Seti River, which is one of the main tributaries of Septa Gandaki River. According to the DPR, the design discharge of the project is 2.63 m3/s at 40 exceedance flow. All the headwork arrangement intake is located on right bank of Mardi Khola from where design flow is collected from Intake to Desander and then from Desander to Power house connected through 3725m long penstock pipe. The flow then passes to two units of horizontal axes Pelton turbines generating 7MW power. The generated energy is proposed to be evacuated to NEA proposed Substation at Baskot after constructing about 11 km long, single circuit 33 kV transmission line.
History
2009 : The Company was incorporated as a private limited company in the year 2009 under the provisions of Companies Act 2063 of Nepal.
2018 : The Company was converted into Public Limited company on 19 April 2018.
2020: The Company shares listed on Nepal Stock Exchange on 18 December 2020
