Al Kamil Power Company is a power generation company established to build, own and operate a 285 MW electricity generating station at Al Kamil in the Sharqiya (Eastern) Region of the Sultanate of Oman. Natural gas is supplied by pipeline from the Saih Rawl gas field that also supplies gas to major industries in Sur. The natural gas is received at the plant, mixed with air and burned in the gas turbines to produce power. The rotational energy drives the generator and electricity is produced. The electricity is then transformed to 132 kV and supplied to the Oman grid. OETC finally draws power from the grid and supplies it to the end consumer.
