Sigma S.A.F.I. S.A. (Peru)

Sigma S.A.F.I. S.A. is a company located in Lima, Peru. It specializes in the administration of public and private investment funds focused on financial products such as Operating Leasing and Private Equity investments in infrastructure development companies. Sigma Safi S.A. has become one of the leading investment fund administrators in Peru, with the support of institutional investors and important companies that trust them. Since 2006, Sigma has accepted $950 million in investment commitments across six investment funds it has managed over the past 14 years. Five of these funds were dedicated to Operating Leasing management. To date, over $800 million has been invested in fixed assets for leasing purposes through the Operating Leasing funds. The first of these funds, LeasOp I, is a public fund composed of contributions from legal entities (the country's three main AFPs) and listed on Cavali as its shares were offered publicly. In April 2017, the Operating Leasing fund LeasOp VI was launched, a public fund created under the simplified regime with its main investors being individuals who invest in movable assets for Operating Leasing through their Mutual Funds and Trusts managed by Scotia Mutual Funds. In July 2019, the Operating Leasing fund LeasOp V was launched, a public fund created under the simplified regime with its main investor being an Institutional Mutual Fund managed by Credicorp Capital. Sigma has successfully managed two Operating Leasing investment funds, LeasOp II in 2016 and LeasOp III in 2013, and fully repaid their investors' capital and respective returns. These investment funds were private and had significant investors such as Interbank and Goldman Sachs. The Infrastructure Private Equity fund invests in companies and projects related to infrastructure development in the transportation sector, treatment plants, energy generation and transmission, as well as alternative energy sources, among others. In an ongoing process of diversification and offering new products to their client portfolio, Sigma is currently structuring Real Estate and Private Debt Funds, which they expect to make available to their investors and clients in 2020.
