Servicios Industriales de the Marina is a state institution of private law that operates according to the policy of the Ministry of Defence, General Command of the Navy and the National Fund for Financing State Enterprise Activity (FONAFE) in Peru. The institution is responsible for maintenance, modernization, design and construction of the units of the Navy of Peru and running complementary projects related to shipbuilding and metalworking industry for the state and private sector since 1981. Currently, the institution has 3 operation centers in Callao, Iquitos and Chimbote.
