Telecom Italia sold its 100% stake in TIM Peru to America Movil's for some USD 503mn, including debt. TIM Peru has some 1.4 million customers in Peru, equivalent to 31% of peruvian market. The purchase was part of America Movil's expansion policy in the region. America Movil is competing with Spanish mobile telecommunications giant Telefonica Moviles for the leadership in Latin America.
