Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) operates as a water and wastewater services provider in Metro Manila and some parts of Cavite. In 1997, the company was granted a 25-year exclusive concession by the Philippine Government, through the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), to operate, maintain and invest in the water and sewerage system. Such concession term was extended by 15 years in 2010, after Maynilad was required by the government to increase and accelerate its wastewater investments.
