Philippine National Bank (PNB) is the country's first universal bank. PNB offers a wide range of banking and financial services. The bank is one of the providers of overseas remittance services. PNB's deposit generation activities also focus on countryside savings generation. PNB's main markets are corporate, middle market and retail customers. This also includes the National Government, local government units and government owned and controlled corporations. The industry with the biggest share of PNB's loan portfolio is the wholesale and retail trade. Half of this is secured by real estate mortgage. Shares of stock, bank deposits and others secure the rest. PNB was incorporated in 1916 and has its office in Pasay City.
