Silkbank is a Pakistani bank, formally launched in 2001, when Saudi Pak Industrial and Agricultural Investment Company (SAPICO) acquired the former Prudential Bank. In 2008 the majority stake of the bank was sold to a consortium comprising of IFC, Bank Muscat, Nomura International and Sinthos Capital. The bank focuses on elaborating products for SMEs and consumer financing. Also, it is active in wholesale banking services, e-banking, credit cards and Islamic banking services. The bank’s headquarters are in Islamabad.
