Braster S.A. was founded in 2008 as a special purpose company to carry out industrial research co-funded by the European grant under the Operational Programme Innovative Economy. The goal of the study is to reach mass production of medical thermographic scan, which uses passive liquid crystal displays, designed for the early detection of breast pathology, mainly concerning women breast cancer.
In 2011-2012, the company acquired strong equity investors which include dynamic and leading financial institutions like (Bank Brokerage House Environment SA) and other professional investment funds. Working closely with Grand Thornton investment adviser, Braster S.A. carried out a successful private issues of shares series B, attracting more than 10 million PLN capital, which ensured a stable condition for the development and implementation of mass production for the BRASTER™ tester in the near future. The company is preparing a modern production line for the manufacturing of the passive thermal screens, which are a key element for the thermographic testers. This will allow the company to maintain full control of the manufacturing process and is a prerequisite for the highest quality and reliability.
